Corporate responsibility and auditioning

Kesko and Intersport are both committed to a responsible way of sourcing products. This requires long-term well planned work with suppliers and their subcontractors. The aim is to secure product quality in terms of environmental and ethical issues.

The monitoring of social responsibility is important in the countries that are classified as risk countries when it comes to social settings. The risk countries are normally countries where the risk of violating basic human rights and normal employees rights is present.

Kesko has joined the European auditioning system BSCI and committed to their Code of Conduct, which is basically similar with Kesko's own purchasing ethical conduct. Also the Intersport International (IIC) joined BSCI in 2006.
